If You Could Read My Mind is a creative and diaristic exploration of the complexities of the internal queer experience through portraits, journal entries, and collaborative art. For my final master’s project at Ohio University, I made portraits of my chosen queer family, asking them to share stories about what it means to be queer and how it shapes the way they live their lives. The project also explores queer themes, including drag, music, liberation, and love.
